EROI IN CALZAMAGLIA SONO DIVENTATI...

Eroi in calzamaglia sono diventati. I paladini che abbiamo amato nella nostra gioventù, i mitici supereroi dei fumetti, ora ci vengono presentati da un punto di vista completamente differente. Un po' ingrassati (gli anni passano anche per loro…) e qualche capello bianco comparso implacabilmente. Ma sicuramente la loro grinta non l' hanno persa affatto. Ed è bene che sia così, visto che per loro, ultimamente, le cose non stanno andando per il verso giusto. È comparso un nuovo supereroe in gonnella: The Amazing Pape , - Laurina Paperina quando riveste i panni civili - con tanto di calzamaglia, mantello e mascherina e che ha dato filo da torcere ad alcuni paladini della giustizia. Più umana che super, Pape ha tutti i difetti di noi umani, tanto da arrivare a investire, nella sua prima avventura, uno spocchioso Thor, con la sua Pape-mobile: veicolo personale chiaramente corredato di super-marchingegni. Il bello è che la Pape-mobile esiste davvero ed è un ape-car pieno di adesivi del supereroe e super accessoriato; come esiste Laurina Paperina (Laura Scottini all'anagrafe). Molto spesso protagonista dei suoi lavori, ora lo diventa col suo pseudonimo, diventando una Clark Kent in rosa.
Con un video, il secondo episodio delle avventure di Pape (il primo episodio è stato presentato recentemente) e alcuni disegni, in questa esposizione l'artista ribadisce un concetto in lei presente da sempre: per renderci conto dell'epoca in cui viviamo, dettata dai potenti che decidono cosa è bene e cosa è male, l'ironia si rivela essere l'arma più forte. Unica regola: sdrammatizzare. Nei suoi lavori precedenti si è riusciti a sorridere sulle fobie della contemporaneità come la minaccia dei virus, sul grigiore metropolitano, oppure sul sempre più labile confine tra il bene e il male. Nello specifico, prendere in giro i mitici supereroi vuol dire prendere per i fondelli il sistema sociale che li ha ideati, dove il bene è rappresentato dalla nazione (che il supereroe deve difendere) e dalle sue leggi. Seppur vestiti di tutto punto, ci vengono presentati senza maschera, pieni di difetti, arroganti, in una parola: umani. E la più umana di tutti è Laurina Paperina - Pape, tanto golosa di salame, da usare un insospettabile insaccato stagionato come una pericolosa arma…

THEY HAVE BECOME HEROES IN TIGHTS...

They have become heroes in tights. The heroes that we loved when we were young, the legendary comic book superheroes, are now seen from a radically different point of view. Somewhat fatter (time goes by for them too…) and with some white hairs relentlessly appearing here and there. But their stamina is still there. And that's not bad, since things are not going the right way for them lately. A new superhero in a skirt has appeared: The Amazing Pape , - Laurina Paperina in civvies – dressed in tights, cloak and mask who has been a pain in the neck for some advocates of justice. More human than super, Pape has all the faults of us humans, to go so far, during her first adventure, as to run down haughty Thor with her Pape-mobile: her personal vehicle clearly equipped with super-dodges. What's funny is that Pape-mobile really exists and it is an Ape Car full of stickers of the superhero and all sorts of accessories; just like exists Laurina Paperina, pseudonym of Laura Scottini (the artist's real name) and the character as well, a sort of female version of Clark Kent.
With a video, the second episode of Pape's adventures (the first appeared recently) and some drawings, in this exhibition the artist stresses a concept that she has always nurtured: to grasp the age in which we are living, in which the powerful few decide what is good and what is evil, irony turns out to be the most efficient weapon. There is just one rule: underplay. With her previous works we even managed to smile at the phobias of contemporary world like the threat posed by viruses, metropolitan gloom or the perplexing border between good and evil. In this case, laughing at legendary superheroes means deriding the social system that created them, in which good is represented by a nation (that the superhero must defend) and its laws. Even though they are all dressed up, they are presented without a mask, for all their faults, arrogant, in brief: human. And the most human of all is Laurina Paperina-Pape, so mad about salami to use an unsuspected seasoned sausage as a dangerous weapon…
